Marshall Maverick Athletics

Practice on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays will now begin at 6:30am. This will allow all coaches to spend more time with each level, and be more effective on the field. There are now approximately 130 football players in the program. This adjustment will provide an opportunity for us to focus more attention on the 9th grade football players. We are excited about this group and look forward to coaching them, not only daily, but for the next four years. Monday - Report time 6:15am. Practice time 6:30am. Tuesday - Report time 6:15am. Practice time 6:30am. Wednesday - Report time 6:15am. Practice time 6:30am. These times are ON THE FIELD times. Please do not be late to practice. The 9th grade football players WILL NOT practice after school. This schedule will begin on Monday, August 29th. If you have transportation issues, please let me know and we will do our best to accommodate your needs.

Maverick Fans, tickets are on sale now for the Mavs vs. Tyler High varsity game on Friday, August 26 at 7:30 pm. Go to marshallisd.com/athletics to purchase your tickets online. Tickets will also be available at the gate for cash. Tickets are $10 at the gate. Remember the Clear Bag Policy will be enforced; no backpacks, purses, or bags. See the Clear Bag Policy on the Marshall ISD website. No outside food or drink will be allowed in the stadium. New this year: Students in 8th grade and under must be accompanied by and sit with their adult. All MISD students must wear their student ID or present it when requested.

The Junior Varsity game will be hosted at Tyler High. Tickets can be purchased online or at the gate by cash or check. Always be prepared for stadiums/gyms to have a clear bag policy. The 9th-grade game will be at home at Maverick Stadium. Tickets will be available at the gate. CASH ONLY

We had a great turnout at the Maverick Volleyball game last night and hope to see everyone again this Friday as the Lady Mavs take on Spring Hill with 9th grade, JV, and Varsity games at 4:30, 5:30, and 6:30! Along with our Maverick Football scrimmages at Rose Stadium against Tyler Legacy on Friday, 9th and JV are playing at 5:00 and Varsity playing at 7:00! We want to take this time and remind everyone that for your safety and the safety of others, MISD will continue to enforce a clear bag policy (shown below) at all athletic events.
