The George Washington Carver Community Center will open up today for after school tutorials. The boys basketball team volunteered to help organize tables, books and other supplies. 🤘🏀

Yesterday we went to Hallsville for the Bobcat Invitational which turned out to be one of the largest meets around. 46 different schools were there with some of the 8 races having between 200-250 runners each! We had mixed results, some bright spots….. but learned we have a lot of work to do as other schools are also working hard and getting better each week.
Because of the crowds and the “busy-ness” of coaching such a large meet…. We weren’t able to get too many pictures; however here are a few.

Busy day today for Maverick Volleyball with 7th/8th grade teams in Pine Tree and freshmen/JV teams in Spring Hill.
7A finished in the top, and freshmen finished 2nd place in the Spring Hill Queen of the Court tournament. Good job ladies!! 🤘🏐

STUDENT SPECTATOR PROTOCOL REMINDER:
Students 8th grade and below must be accompanied and sit with their parents or a responsible adult/licensed driver that is 18+ and not a current MISD student to be admitted to the game.
No loitering outside the stadium fence or in any of the MHS parking lots.
There will be no loitering under the bleachers during the game.
Students should be in the stands at all times.
The only time students are allowed under the bleachers is when they go to the restroom or to the concession stand.
Students will receive one warning and then will be removed from the stadium and not allowed to attend the next scheduled home game.
All MISD HS and JH students must wear their student ID and present their ID upon request.
Junior High students who have purchased an athletic pass must be accompanied by a responsible adult or licensed driver that is 18 years of age or older and not a current MISD student.
Clear bag policy will be enforced. This includes backpacks, please do not bring them to games.
