MJHS Maverick Blitz Dance Team

Founded in 1969 by Mrs. Charlsie Cooke, the Marshall Mavettes represent Marshall High School and the community of Marshall and are known for their "high kicks and red lips."

Over the years, the Mavettes ultimately have become one of the most respected drill teams in the state, winning state and national awards at competitions all over the country the past 50 years.

The Mavettes provide pre-game and halftime entertainment at Maverick football games and also perform at pep rallies, basketball games and other school and community events, including the annual Mavette Show each spring.

The Mavettes are under the direction of Mrs. Heather Hill, a former Mavette and 2011 graduate of MHS. Mrs. Hill serves as Mavette Director and Dance Instructor for MISD.

The Marshall Mavettes are a Marshall treasure and a source of Maverick Pride!
