MISD Students Qualify For ET Regional Science Fair

Students from Marshall Junior High School and Marshall High School competed in the annual District Science Fair on Feb. 11. Students whose projects placed at the district level in the overall top 10 in the junior high division (grades 6-8) and the high school division (grades 9-12) qualified to compete at the regional level.

Elementary school students also competed in the District Science Fair, but are not eligible to advance to the Regional Science Fair.

Listed below are winners from the District Science Fair:

ELEMENTARY SCHOOL – 3rd Grade
• 1st Place: Bella Ford, William B. Travis Elementary
• 2nd Place (tie): Addison Watkins, Sam Houston Elementary; Charley Furrh, Sam Houston Elementary
• 3rd Place: Cade Sellers, Sam Houston Elementary

ELEMENTARY SCHOOL – 4th Grade

• 2nd Place: Cooper Hudson, Sam Houston Elementary
