MySchoolBucks gives parents the convenience and flexibility of one account to securely pay for all of their student meals and more with a credit card, debit card, or electronic check.

DAVID'S LAW/QUICK TIP
Senate Bill 179, also known as “David’s Law,” was signed into law by Texas Gov. Greg Abbott in the summer of 2017. This law is aimed at combating and preventing cyberbullying and other forms of bullying/harassment. Marshall ISD provides an anonymous tip line which will allow students, parents and members of the community to communicate with your district or school about pressing issues, including potential cyberbullying or other forms of harassment. Each tip will be properly investigated through proper channels within the school district.

PARENT-TEACHER ASSOCIATIONS
A Parent Teacher Association (PTA) is a formal organization composed of parents, teachers, students and staff that is intended to facilitate family involvement in a school. PTA is the oldest, largest, child advocacy association in the country, providing a history and accomplishments that support the connection between effective engagement and academic achievement for all children.

SCHOOL CLOSINGS
Marshall ISD will use these guidelines to communicate changes in school schedules or cancellations as a result of inclement weather or other issues.

SCHOOL MENUS
The mission of the Marshall Independent School District Child Nutrition Department is to ensure that every child in the district has access to a healthy, nutritious breakfast and lunch.

SCHOOL SUPPLY LISTS
Marshall ISD will update these school supply lists each summer for the upcoming school year.

SCHOOL SAFETY
The Marshall ISD Police Department was officially licensed in November of 2014 and serves as the official security arm of the school district. As of July 2015, the department consists of a police chief, four full-time officers, and a department secretary.

SKYWARD FAMILY ACCESS
Marshall ISD utilizes Skyward Family and Student Access to communicate important information with parents such as student grades and attendance history.

STAAR SCORES ACCESS
Information is provided to assist parents in order to access their child's STAAR scores online.

STUDENT CODE OF CONDUCT
The Student Code of Conduct (“Code”) satisfies the requirements of Chapter 37 of the Texas Education Code. The Code provides methods and options for managing students in the classroom and on school grounds, disciplining students, and preventing and intervening in student discipline problems.

STUDENT DRESS CODE
The district’s dress code has been established to teach grooming and hygiene, prevent disruption, and minimize safety hazards. Students and parents may determine a student’s personal dress and grooming standards, provided that they comply with the requirements of the official student dress code.

STUDENT HANDBOOKS
Education is a team effort, and we at Marshall ISD know that students, parents, teachers and other staff members all working together can make a successful school year for our students! The MISD Student Handbook is designed to provide a resource for some of the basic information that you and your child will need during the school year. The Student Handbook is a general reference guide only and is designed to be in harmony with Board policy and the Student Code of Conduct.

TRANSPORTATION
Marshall ISD offers the privilege of bus transportation for all eligible students. Eligibility is determined by application of Board policy. We believe that our bus service enhances the learning experience of each student.
