MHS Athletes Celebrate National Signing Day

This is the image for the news article titled MHS Athletes Celebrate National Signing DayMarshall High School had seven student-athletes sign to continue their academic and athletic careers at the college level during National Signing Day ceremonies held Wednesday morning in the Gloria McCoy Learning Center at MHS.

Six Maverick football players and one cross-country runner inked to compete at the next level. Marshall's James Washington (Southern Arkansas); Landon Hurd (Panhandle State); Jared Washington (Southwestern Oklahoma State); Darius Williams (Stephen F. Austin); Kayce Hurd (Northwestern Oklahoma State); and Savion Williams (TCU) signed their national letters-of-intent this morning.

Corey White, a senior cross-country runner for the Mavs, also signed to move on to Tiffin University, located in Tiffin, Ohio.

Mavs Athletic Director Jake Griedl said that another 3-4 Marshall student-athletes are still considering signing but were not ready to commit as of Wednesday.
