Patterson has sponsored the weekly MISD Teacher of the Week program since the beginning of the 2014-2015 school year. Campus principals have the opportunity to nominate a deserving teacher from their campus on a rotating basis throughout the year. The nominee is then met on a morning during the week with a surprise visit from Patterson representatives.

Marshall Junior High was scheduled to have their teacher of the week recognized last month, but winter weather in the area that particular week forced the district to close for two days and caused the postponement of the presentation until this week.
