Bull TASC (Texas Association of Student Councils) State Advisor of the Year award at the 2017 TASC Middle Level State Annual Conference this past weekend in San Marcos.

The honor was presented to Ms. Johnson during a special ceremony to close out the annual conference. She and a group of her Student Council students were attending sessions at the conference, which was held at the Embassy Suites hotel in San Marcos.

The award is named after Mr. Eddie G. Bull, who served TASC for more than 30 years. Under Mr. Bull’s leadership, the TASC grew to more than 1,300 member school and expanded services to Texas students and advisors.

The Texas Association of Student Councils (TASC) is a non-profit organization serving high school and middle level student councils in Texas. Sponsored by the Texas Association of Secondary School Principals, TASC is the Texas Affiliate of the National Association of Student Councils. Its purposes are to develop leadership abilities in students, promote democracy as a way of life and establish and uphold high standards for local councils. Organized in 1937, TASC has grown to serve more than 1,300 member schools in Texas.
